NEWSLETTER

August 2018

We did not have an actual meeting this month – went the whatsapp route, but have a few items of interest for you.

Thank you to all who have paid their subscriptions for 2018.  Welcome back to Pauline Frazer who has rejoined even though they live in the Free State.  That’s the spirit!!  Please would those who are still outstanding settle up – it is only R300 per annum.

A report back of the Nguni Society Council Meeting will be given after the next committee meeting.  Nico has attended another Council meeting in the interim and will also report back on the decisions taken.

FORTH COMING EVENTS

Spring Bull Sale – 20 October 2018 @ 10 am – Mooi River.

Please can you all make an effort to support this sale by entering some animals.  A minimum of 120 cattle are required under the Club banner.  Members will sell before non members, whose cattle will be sold at the end of the sale.  Bulls must not be older than 5 years and tested before the sale for tricho, vibrio and semen evaluation so the certificates are on hand at the sale.  Older and uncertified bulls will be sold at the end and not under the Club.  Bull entries and photos must be with AAM by Friday 28 September 2018 so they can be put on the website.  Females must be pregnancy and CA tested before the sale with their trimesters available.  Open heifers are also acceptable. All entries to be sent to AAM by 28 September 2018 in order for the catalogue to be finalised for the sale.

Your support would be appreciated as the Committee is trying hard to uplift the Club and cannot do this without your active support.
